The Kadoatery
The Kadoatery is where Kadoaties go when their owners are on holiday. It's a nice place, but it doesn't take long for them to get lonely.
Each Kadoatie really wants an item to make it happy until its owner returns. If you have the item the Kadoatie is looking for, click on its cage to hand it over! You'll make the little Petpet very happy, and your name will be displayed so everyone knows how kind you are.
Kadoaties can request any food item with a rarity of 95 or lower.
How often can I feed?
There is no daily limit on the number of Kadoaties you can feed, however they will only ask for food at specific times each hour. These times can be categorised into two types of refresh - a main and a mini:
A main refresh means all Kadoaties will become hungry again. Main refreshes occur at :00 and :30 minutes past every hour.
A mini refresh means that only some of the Kadoaties will become hungry. If you have already fed a Kadoatie on the main refresh and your username still appears below a fed Kadoatie, you will not be able to feed again until the next main refresh. Mini refreshes occur every 6 minutes, at :06, :12, :18, :24, :36, :42, 48 and :54 minutes past the hour.
Feeding Methods
The easiest way to feed is by using the Search Helper toggle to quickly search for items on the Shop Wizard or in your Safety Deposit Box. You can find out more about this toggle in our Toggles Guide! Simply click the icon underneath the Kadoatie to locate the item, and then with the item in your inventory click the Kad to feed it.
If you'd prefer not to use the Search Helper, there are three generally tried and tested methods for feeding. These are Shop Wizard feeding, Safety Deposit Box feeding, and Inventory feeding.
Shop Wizard Feeding
This method requires the use of the Shop Wizard and The Kadoatery in two separate tabs. This allows you to quickly buy and feed the Kadoaties with minimal navigation required. Prepare your Shop Wizard to search for items 'Identical to my phrase' and get ready to copy and paste the item name into your Shop Wiz tab on the next Kad refresh. Quickly buy the item and return to your Kad tab to feed!
Safety Deposit Box Feeding
SDB feeding requires you to do some preparation and have an assortment of Kadoatie foods ready to withdraw from your deposit box. Similarly to Shop Wiz feeding, you would have The Kadoatery in one tab and your SDB in another. Quickly paste the required item into your SDB search, withdraw it and return to your Kad tab to feed.
Inventory Feeding
Inventory feeders stock up on possible Kadoatie items and keep them in their inventory, removing the extra steps of purchasing an item or withdrawing from your safety deposit box. Inventory feeders sometimes stick to specific types of foods as inventory space can be limited unless expanded with the use of Inventory Tokens.
